There are four groups on a Wednesday and Thursday with a morning and afternoon group each day, each of 4 hours. Attendance is limited to 6 members per group. The groups run throughout the year except for 2 weeks over Christmas.

Throwing, coiling, modelling, slab and hand-building with clay. Self-guided project work as no tutor available, although supportive group members provide help and advice.

We made our own poppies from a template taken off the internet in the style of those shown at the Tower of London, and then glazed them red with low fired raku glazes. Our menagerie of animals is extending – recent additions being a Herdwick sheep a family of cats and a pig, and our coiled pots are becoming more shapely and professional. We have been taking our inspiration from nature and seed pod heads and several members have made wall plaque representations of the Green Man.

“Taster sessions” may also be arranged at a cost of £10.00 for a 4 hour session.

Please contact Bobby Crosbie if you would like more information.
