Anyone who walks around the Lake District knows that it is a beautiful area and that is why it is now a World Heritage site - but litter can be an eyesore. The aim of this group is to keep our area looking beautiful by ensuring that litter is not allowed to build up. We do a short period of 1 to 2 hours of litter clearance in a variety of sites - round the lake shores, along river banks, on the fells, in parks and gardens. Bags, gloves and litter picks will be provided and when we finish, we can adjourn for a cup of coffee. Anyone is welcome to come along either on a regular or an occasional basis.
Please contact the convenor if you would like more information.
