Gentle Yoga

When: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons 2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Venue: St Herbert's Centre.
Cost: Approximately £13-15 for the course of 8 sessions, depending on number of participants.

A second 8 week course will start on 15th January

An 8 week group for beginners  that will introduce participants to the practice of yoga. Classes will be an hour long, beginning with a warm up and leading onto learn and practice key yoga asanas (poses). There will also be opportunities for mindfulness and breath work and each session will conclude with a period of relaxation.  

My aim is that you leave the sessions feeling more limber and relaxed than when you arrived. And hopefully we will have some fun along the way! 

Classes are aimed at beginners (or returners) looking for a gentle introduction (or reintroduction)  to yoga.  Everyone can do and benefit from yoga and modifications will be offered to make the class as accessible as possible for all. Group size will be capped at 10 to allow for individual attention. You will need a yoga or exercise mat. If you have 2 yoga blocks please bring these too, but I will endeavour to provide these for those that don’t. Also helpful would be a yoga strap, or the longest belt or tie (e.g from a dressing gown) that you have, along with a blanket or shawl.
