Ron Salmon is a Cumbrian crime author, based just outside Cockermouth. He writes as Harry Navinski and has spoken at many Rotary Clubs, WIs and other Cumbrian U3As.

His talk covers his Royal Air Force career, his time on voluntary service in India on anti-human-trafficking work, then moves into his period as a crime writer. This part of the talk describes his protagonist, his five books, the writing process, and publishing, finishing with a questions session. The protagonist in his crime books is a mid-forties female Detective Chief Inspector, leading a team of detectives in Edinburgh.
