2026 - Speaker Programme
Job Vacancy - New Speaker Secretary needed.
At the AGM in April 2027, Roger Gook the current Speaker Secretary will be standing down after 4 years in office. In order to continue with our programme of Monthly Meetings it is important that someone volunteers to replace Roger. It would also be much better for continuity if a volunteer could be found soon so, that they have a chance to shadow Roger and learn the job. While Roger is a committee member this job does require the post holder to be a committee member.

We are delighted to offer a varied selection of topics in our monthly meeting talks during 2026. We welcome back some popular speakers and introduce others for the first time.
There are nine meetings which are held on the third Wednesday of the month, apart from in August, September and December. The meeting venue will be the Crosthwaite Parish Room Keswick, apart from the months of June and July when the meetings will be held outside of Keswick, in Threlkeld.
Doors are open at 10 am when refreshments will be served and there is an opportunity to socialise. The meeting begins at 10.30 am and ends at 12 noon, unless otherwise stated.
